Elo Simulator
A downloadable tool
Welcome to the Elo Simulator!
The Elo Simulator is a tool created to test different Elo Variables for an 8 player game played many times with a pool of potential players.
For example; I can set an certain Elo K value, simulate 100 matches and see how far certain players have pulled out in front or fallen behind in terms of Elo rating. This can help determine things such as match making brackets.
How to use
- Set the number of players you wish to have in your player base and their initial Elo Rating and click "Generate Players"
- Set the number of matches to simulate and click "Simulate Matches"
- Tweak the values in the Elo setup for different results
- Click on individual players to see their stats.
WARNING: Simulating large numbers will cause the tool to freeze! It will eventually work through the simulation and resume. Please test what your PC can handle by gradually increasing the values you input.
Exported Data
The Elo Simulator automatically exports all your simulation data. The log is exported in a .txt file and a data table containing details of all each player and all the matches is exported as a .csv.
These can be located at the bottom of the screen in green. Click these to highlight and ctrl+v to copy the file location.
